Frequently Asked Question

Q: It is said that according to Vaastu, one should not buy a house next to the temple; it means you should not share the same compound wall. It is said to be inauspicious. Is it true?

Generally, it is believed that the house next to a temple is inauspicious, which is wrong. If the temple is in the southern or western side of the house, it is good as the south or west direction of the house gains weight. The flow of positive energy gets interrupted, if the temple is in the eastern or northern direction of the plot. The positive energy continuously flows in the house in case of open space in the eastern and northern sections of the house, hence the temple in east or north is not inauspicious.

Q: I have a nice spot in my garden where I want to place rose plants as a show-piece. One of my friend told me not to as it is bad for Vaastu. Should I believe him?

The plants should always be placed in the east and north. Except the Eshan direction of the house, trees in south and west are auspicious.

Q: In the master bedroom, where should I place my safe in which I keep my valuables. I do not want to place it in the wrong direction.

Always put the valuables in the locker/safe, which is heavy in weight and place it in the south-west portion of the bedroom.

Q: The southeast room of my house is used as a master bedroom. But this is against vaastu principle. What steps can be taken to avoid the bad effect?

The joining point of east and south is called agney’s corner as per the directions of vaastu. It is very clear that the word agney means fire. If the bedroom is in agney’s room, it can have bad effects on health and wealth of male member. This can result in ailments related to fire-elements like high BP, high sugar, short-temper etc. It might also lead to unwanted arguments between husband and wife.

To get good results from vaastu subject, it is better that the agney’s room is used as kitchen. But if there is no other alternative, leave one-fourth of the eastern portion of agney’s room, make a partition and use the balance three-fourth portion as bedroom. By wearing a pearl ring and good quality natural crystal chain (both in silver), the bad effects of fire-elements will be reduced.

Q:Is it possible to get rid of vaastu dosh by performing graha-shanti and vaastu-shanti (religious methods)?

Performing graha-shanti is a symbol of your religious belief. You are misunderstanding the main aim and real meaning of vaastu-shanti. The real meaning of vaastu-shanti is the correct balancing of the five elements of vaastu subject. Making changes as per vaastu principle is the best way to get rid of vaastu dosh permanently.

Q: The door in south-east is the entrance to our flat. Is it wrong? If so, what steps should we take to keep the evil effects at bay?

The joining corner of east and south is called agney. The eastern part of agney corner is called east-agney and southern part is called south-agney. If the door is placed in the south-agni of your flat, then it is good, Because of the energy flow from south-agney in the house, you will be blessed with good health and wealth.

Against this, if the door is in east-agney, it leads to friction, theft, and other domestic issues. If the door is in east-agney of the flat, construct new walls in the north and west direction of this door and shift this door to that area, so that the door will now be placed in the south-agney zone, which will be auspicious.

Q:We purchased a constructed house, in which the toilet in the master bed room is built in the southwest corner. Is this against vaastu? If so, what step do we take to avoid the bad effect?

The southwest portion of the house is high and heavy, which provides stability. The presence of the toilet creates a bad effect leading to financial losses and ill-health. Raise the floor level of the toilet, fill the main drainage hole with mud and lay the new drainage pipe line on the ground level to ward off the ill effects.

Q:I would like to know where a person should place his head while sleeping and in which part of the house the puja shelf to placed?

The human body contains the magnetic power in the head and iron in the feet, and the magnetic rays continuously flow in the house from the north and there are iron contents in south. When we place our head in the north while sleeping, there is negative energy due to which a person can spend a sleepless night. Against this, if the head is placed in the south while sleeping, it attracts positive magnetic power and a person sleeps peacefully. The bed should be kept in the south-west direction only. The puja shelf should be placed at northwest and one should perform the puja by facing the west.

Q: This is my new house plan. Does this plan is conform to vaastu principles? I want to start the construction of my house so please comment on the vaastu dosh if any.

Following is the vaastu dosh as indicated in the map:

  • The eastern section of the house is getting cut off, which has negative results and it can affect your social image.
  • Due to the L-shaped portion at the northwest end, the northeast portion is getting extended. As such it becomes heavier. This is a vaastu dosh, which can impact financial matters.
  • Just as you should not have an underground water tank in north vayavya (northwest), having a lift in north vayavya of the house is also not advisable.
  • The doors in south neirut of drawing room and north vayavya of kitchen are installed in the wrong place.
  • The inflow of positive energy from south agney gets reduced as the door has not fixed in south agney of the house.

It is advisable that you start the new construction under the guidance of an experienced vaastu consultant, and keep in mind the above cited vaastu dosh. Construct an underground water tank/borewell in the eshan (northeast) direction by leaving the diagonal line in eshan, before starting the new construction.

Q:I am staying in a rented house, which is facing the east. My bedroom is in the southeast room and the kitchen is in southwest room of the house. Recently I read in the book that, for each Rashi (zodiac sign) a particular direction is suitable? If yes, my rashi is Mithun (Gemini). Please tell me, which direction my house should face?

It is neither practical nor possible to stay in a house that faces the suitable direction as per your zodiac sign. The contents of the book might not be right. But the room in the southeast of the house (called agney’s room) is more suitable as a kitchen. The flow of fire element is more in this direction; so if food is cooked here, it helps to kill the bacteria in the food. The male person sleeping in the agney’s room may suffer from diseases related to fire like high BP, diabetes, heart problem and will be prone to losing temper. The kitchen in the southwest room gives controlling power to the housewife.

It is impossible to make the changes as per vaastu in the rented house, but you can get positive results by utilising the agney’s room as kitchen, southwest room as storeroom and northwest room as the bedroom.

Q:I bought a flat recently. It is on eighth floor with the entrance at north-west and the kitchen is to the right of entrance. I would like to know if there is any vaastu dosh? Is vaastu applicable to a flat in the higher floors?

Vaastu affects subject through the earthing power, magnetic power, gravitation force, sunrays, natural energies etc. The elements, fire, water, air, earth all contribute to the effects of vaastu. When you stay at higher floors, the effect of earthing power gets reduced while that of the sky is very strong. As far as the effects of the rest of the elements are concerned, they are same in upper and lower floors.

The kitchen in the northwest room is fine but if the southeast room is being utilised as a bedroom, then it will have a bad effect on the person who uses it. Utilise the southeast room as a kitchen and northwest room as children’s bedroom. Else utilise the northeast room as a children’s bedroom instead of southeast room. Shift the door from north vayavya to north eshan of the hall in north of the flat, to be safe from the bad effects of this vaastu dosh.

Q: Does the vaastu dosh of a house also affect the owner of the house even though he is not living there?

The good or bad effects of vaastu will be on the inhabitants of the house. If the house is rented, or owned, or is in the name of somebody else, it has no relevance for the vaastu subject. The vaastu of the house will give auspicious or inauspicious results to inhabitants only. If the owner leaves his own house and shifts to another house, then the vaastu of his own house will not affect him. Only the inhabitants of that house will be affected. The vaastu of the house in which you are staying will affect your nature, thought, relations and business.

Q: Even though we stay in the same house, the effects of vaastu I think change. How is this possible?

It is a fact that vaastu plays a vital role in every incident of your life. However if you think that it is only the vaastu of your own house that affects your life, you are wrong.

Even the surroundings of your house will affect your life. The effect of vaastu depends on the correct harmony between positive and negative energy of the house. Also the vaastu of places that you regularly visit will have an impact in your life.

Q: Are astrology and vaastu subjects interlinked? Is it required to analyse the Janma-Kundli (horoscope) to get rid of the problems? Will astrology provide solutions?

Astrology and vaastu, both are different subjects having their own importance and use. But analysis of the horoscope is not required to get benefit from vaastu. Many astrologers will tell you to perform graha-shanti puja, yantra etc to overcome your troubles but I do not feel these are very helpful. But if you make slight alterations as per vaastu, positive impact is guaranteed. When a person shifts or makes any changes in his house, his life gets affected as per the changed vaastu.

Q: Two years back, I had constructed a small duplex house in which the staircase was built in north-east. The main road is to the west of the house while in the east, north and south, there are other houses of the neighbours. I know that the staircase in north-east is a serious vaastu dosh, because of which we are facing lot of problems. I want to demolish the staircase but constructing a new staircase as per vaastu is not possible as the house is very small in size. Please advice.

It is true that having staircase in north-east of the house is inauspicious. The following changes are required to reduce the ill effects of the vaastu dosh:

  • Demolish the staircase in north-east of the house and construct a new wooden staircase by leaving little space from east and north wall of the house. As a result, the north-east direction of the house will get lighter.
  • Lower the floor level of the north-east portion of the house in comparison to the floor level of the house.
  • Construct new underground water tanks in east eshan and north eshan by leaving northeast corner of the house.
  • Shift the gas stove from eshan to agney corner of the kitchen.

If you make these little changes in your house as per vaastu principles, you will notice the difference in your life.

Q: I want to start constructing my house. The eshan corner of the house where I want to construct the plot is cutoff. To get rid of this vaastu dosh, our vaastu pandit has installed metal pyramids in the additional area that lies between the east-agney and the eshan corner. He feels installing the metal pyramids will help to eliminate the vaastu dosh arising out of the cutoff eshan. Will this really help?

Use of pyramids to get rid of vaastu dosh is not mentioned anywhere in the vaastu Shasta. This way you can’t get rid of this dosh. Use of pyramid of a proper shape can protect an item for a long period but you can’t get rid of vaastu dosh by using the pyramids.

The vanishing eshan direction can have negative impact on the house owner and his first son. Also do not leave an excess of open area in east-agney, to get rid of this vaastu dosh. Maintain the north-east corner by less than 90 degrees and construct a new boundary wall in the east direction of the plot; this will enhance the east-eshan, which is auspicious and usher prosperity. You can sell the divided part of east-agney, to the neighbour who lives in the east of your house. Otherwise, leave it open.

Q: I am going to construct an independent house. As per the map, please let me know how many doors our house ideally should have? What are the other suggestions that you would like to make? Also my wife and I are not sure about our birthdates and Nakshatra. Are they needed for vaastu?

Your date of birth and Nakshatra are not required to get benefit from vaastu and to live a happy and prosperous life. The doors can be placed as per your requirement, fixed at auspicious places according to vaastu. Right opposite the main door, constructing another door or window is advisable. Not more than two doors should face each other; the auspicious energy flows in the house from the doors. The increase in north eshan and east eshan of this plot is very favourable and results in prosperity.

The following are the vaastu dosh indicated as per the plan, which should be rectified:

  • More open space in south compared to north can affect the lady of the house and the overall financial condition negatively.
  • Extend the roof of portico in east to north-east corner of the house.
  • Construct new walls and fix the the door in cutoff portion of north eshan of this room. Shift the door from south agney to east of this toilet/bath, to be safe from this vaastu dosh.
  • Shift the door from north eshan to west vayavya of the kitchen and utilise the drawing room in south of the house as dinning and north-east room or eastern part of the house as the drawing room.
  • Borewell in eshan should not come on diagonal line.
  • New doors should be fixed in east and north direction and windows in east eshan and north eshan of north-east room.
  • The windows should be fixed in east eshan, north eshan, west vayavya and south agney instead of other direction in every room.
  • Do not construct the platform to perform the puja in north-east room. It will be better to perform the puja in west direction of this room.

Q: I am constructing a new house where the bedroom has a beam. Is it ok to place the bed under the beam?

A If the beam is in south or western walls of the bedroom, you need not to worry about it. But if the beam is in north or eastern part of the bedroom, get it rectified during construction.

Q The main door of my house is in eastern direction with a beam at the entrance. We do not have any seating below this, but will the beam have ill-effects? What should we do now?

The decision to rectify this vaastu dosh should have been taken while constructing the house, because it is not possible to do so after the construction is complete. However this is not a serious vaastu flaw, so you need not be too worried

Q: I am planning to shift to a new city, which is in the south. My parents are not interested in moving there, because some vaastu pandit has told them that migration towards south may lead to disaster. Can this be true? My mother isn’t too well and I do not want to take a risk, but my profession demands this shift.

Do not be irrational and believe in these petty superstitions and also discourage your parents from believing in these things. There is no problem in shifting to any place. If you shift to a new house, your life will be affected as per the vaastu of that house. Also your mother’s current ill-health might be related to the vaastu defects of your current residence.

So instead of getting bogged down by superstitions which will affect your professional growth, ensure that you select a house that is built according to vaastu.

Q: My house was constructed five years back. Ever since I moved into this house, I’ve been facing serious problems like finance loss, quarrels among family members, deteriorating living standards etc. Please suggest some vaastu changes to overcome the problems.

The cutoff of east-eshan, situation of the kitchen in the north, gas stove kept in eshan corner, placement of both the toilet/bathroom in eshan of the house and the position of the door — are all wrong as per vaastu. The following changes are required to improve your financial position:

  • Construct a new boundary wall in the open area of east. Ensure that the north-east corner is maintained below 90 degrees (as indicated in the map). This way, the excess open area of east-agney will be divided and east-eshan will increase. Remember that increase of east-eshan is very auspicious.
  • Fill the underground water tank in agney corner with mud and construct new underground water tanks in east-eshan and north-eshan by living diagonal line.
  • Fill the septic tank in east with mud and construct a new one in the north-west. The new tank should be in the part of north-vayavya of northwest room.

To lead a happy and prosperous life:

  • Shift the kitchen from north to south-east of the house and keep the gas stove in the agney corner of this room, while the cook should face the east.
  • Demolish both the toilet/bathroom in east and utilise this portion as the dining room. Construct new toilet/bathrooms in south-west by increasing the floor level.
  • Demolish the room in north.
  • Shift the door from east agney of northwest and southeast room, west neirut of northeast room and south agney of the hall, to east eshan of northwest room, south of southwest room, west vayavya of north-east room and north eshan of the hall.
  • Fix the new doors in east eshan and north eshan of northeast room in such a way that more than two doors should not face each other.
  • Make the northeast room the drawing room and northwest the children’s bedroom.

Q: Our flat is east facing and our bedroom is in the southwest, in the direction of the road. Please tell us if this will have any ill-effect on our house. Where should the children’s bedroom be? As this flat is on the fourth floor, structural changes cannot be done. Please advice.

I presume this is an east facing flat but the open area in the south and west results in energy flowing from south and west direction. As the flat is on the fourth floor, the ill effects of the Vidhi-Shula (approach road) in the south and west are less when compared to the ground floor.

The room in the northwest is better for children. The bed should be kept in the west of and sleep with the head in the west or east. The position of the bathroom in the north affects the financial position and hampers the development of children.

Change the following:

  • Demolish the toilet/bathroom in north of the flat.
  • The east eshan direction of the master bedroom, which is in the southwest of the flat, is getting cut-off because of the attached toilet/bathroom in east agney of this room. So shift the door from west to north of this toilet/bathroom.
  • Construct a new bathroom in the southwest part of bedroom to reduce the bad effect of vidhi-shula.
  • Shift the door from east agney to east eshan of the northwest room.
  • Keep potted tulasi plant in the balcony of west vayavya and south.

Q: We constructed our house three years ago, under the guidance of a vaastu consultant. My first son is unemployed. Please give us some advice so that we can improve our financial condition.

Some of the problems that you are facing are because of vaastu dosh. The Northeast corner of the house is getting cutoff, which adversely affects the inhabitants, especially the life of the first son. Also the underground water tank is constructed in the wrong place, resulting in financial loss. Carry out these changes to get rid of your problems.

  • Construct a three feet high wall by fixing a grill above it. This wall in the cutoff portion of Northeast corner should be equal to the North and Eastern walls of the house. Fix new doors in the east and north of this newly-built verandah.
  • Fill the underground water tank with mud and construct a new tank in East eshan by leaving a diagonal line, near the eastern boundary wall.
  • Raise the floor level of the store room in Southwest portion of the house.
  • Shift the doors from East agney of the dining hall and master bedroom, to East eshan of dining hall and North eshan of master bedroom.
  • Fix new door or window in the South agney of the kitchen.

Q: My bedroom is located in the Southeast corner of the first floor and the kitchen is located exactly below this. Will this arrangement have any bad effect ?

There is an excessive flow of the fire element in Southeast room, which will have adverse effects on the health and wealth of the male member of the family. It can result in financial loss and increase the chances of contracting diseases related to fire element like diabetes, high BP, heart problem etc. This can also cause unnecessary arguments between husband and wife. To safeguard yourself from the ill effects of fire elements, it is better to use a room in any other direction except the one in the Southeast corner.

Make the partition in one-third portion (east to west) of Southeast room and use the rest (about three-fourth portions) of the room as a bedroom. Fix a window in South agney, if there is no other alternative. This arrangement will reduce the bad effect of fire element.

Q: My husband has been very aggressive lately and shouts at almost everything. Can you please suggest some changes in the arrangement of the items of my house to get positive vibrations.

The cutoff Northeast corner of your house or the positioning of the staircase and toilet in Northeast or the placement of the bedroom in Southeast... either of the above vaastu dosh can be the reason behind your problem. You can make your husband wear natural pearl in ring and crystal chain, both in silver. This will help in cooling his temper. But for a better and a permanent solution, try to rectify the vaastu dosh in your house with the help of an expert.

Q: Recently, I purchased a duplex house on the first floor. There are two zig-zag curves in the West wall of the house. Is this a vaastu dosh?

The zig-zag curves in the West wall of the house will not have any negative impact, but the Northeast corner should not be cutoff. If you are concerned only about the curves, rest assured there is no cause to worry. You can live happily in this flat without any tension.

Q: The main door of my house is in the East and there is a beam at the entrance. We do not have any seating below this, but does it bring any negativity in the house? If yes, what steps can I take to prevent the flow of negative energy?

The decision for rectifying this vaastu dosh should have been taken while construction of the house, because rectifying this vaastu dosh is not possible after construction. However, this vaastu dosh does not come under serious category and you need not worry about this.

Q: I am living in a West facing house. The plots in East and North of my house are being sold. I want to buy one plot for parking and gardening. Please tell me, which of the two plots should I buy?

If the North of your house is zero degree (or it varies by five-ten degrees) then you can purchase any one of the plot of your choice. But if the North of your house is less than zero degree, then you should invest in the Northern plot. Otherwise it is best to purchase the plot in the East.

Q: Earlier, I was living happily in a rented house. Two years ago, I purchased my own house. Soon I quit my job and opened a shop, selling feng-shui items, Rudraksh, precious stones etc. I used to sell these at my own house. However my business is not running well and I am facing serious financial problems. I kept the feng-shui articles in my house to increase my source of income, but I have not received any benefits. Please suggest an alternative.

When a person changes his house or brings about a change in his way of life, then his course of life changes as per the changed vaastu. Feng-shui articles kept in the house will not bring about any financial improvement. The vaastu dosh of your existing house is the only reason for your problem. Rectifying it under the guidance of an experienced vaastu consultant is the only way in which you can improve the quality of your life.

Q: I want to know if the plan of my house is in accordance with the norms of vaastu or should I carry out any corrective measures? Please advice. You have not sent any details of the area surrounding your house. It is advisable to make the new construction plan and start the construction under the guidance of an experienced vaastu consultant by keeping in mind the below-mentioned vaastu dosh:

  • The borewell is coming on the diagonal line.
  • The northeast corner of the house is getting cutoff due to the portico.
  • The staircase in north vayavya of the house is coming in the north direction of northwest and Southwest room.
  • The door in north vayavya of the hall and kitchen is not right.
  • Windows in east agney of the hall, south of kitchen and south and west of Southwest room is inauspicious.
  • A new door is required in east eshan of the hall.

Q: I had constructed this house under the guidance of Vaastu expert. Our financial condition has improved after entering this house, but we are incurring wasteful expenses, dispute between family members and tension. I have installed a crystal ShreeYantra, after puja to get rid of my problems. But the problem remains as it is. I want to know the reason for the problems though my house has been constructed as per Vaastu. Please give me suggestion to come out of these problems.

A well-known proverb is that, ‘A small mistake could be the reason for a serious difficulty’. You are one of the victims of the small mistake. It is true that, this house is constructed as per Vaastu principles. Borewell situated in east-eshan and underground water tank in north-eshan of the open area is the main reason for financial improvement.

As per Vaastu principle, the cook should face east while cooking. However, this principle applies only when the kitchen is situated in south-east corner room of the house. In case the kitchen is not possible in south-east corner room, then the north-west corner room of the house is also advisable for kitchen.

Fire element is developed in Brahma-Sthal (Centre Point) of the house, because of the gas stove kept in the agney’s corner of the kitchen of north-west corner room, which is coming in the Brahma-Sthal of the house. Vaastu principle does not permit fire element in the Brahma-Sthal of the house. The fire element in Brahma-Sthal, results in financial loss alongwith dispute between family members and mental agony. To come out of these problems, you have to shift the gas stove, which is kept in agney corner of the northwest room to west direction of this room so that the cook should face west direction while cooking.

Q: I plan to buy a flat on the fifth floor. The common staircase for the building touches the northern wall and is at a distance of two meters from the northeast corner. Is the placement of the staircase right?

I do not think you should invest in this flat as the house has not been built as per the vaastu norms. A common staircase for the building built near the Northeast wall of the flat is very inauspicious according to vaastu. This is a serious vaastu dosh.

Q: I own a house which is South facing. There is a temple in the Eastern side of my house. Thet distance between the compound wall of my house and the temple is about three feet. Is is alright? If not, please suggest an alternative that can help solve this problem.

During the construction of the house, proper care should be taken of the vaastu of the surrounding areas and also the vaastu of the neighbour’s house. For example, the staircase constructed in South agney of the neighbours will come in North eshan, and West vayavya of the neighbours will come in East eshan of the house.

In this situation, the vaastu of the neighbour’s house will create vaastu dosh for this house, and the person who lives in this house will suffer from its bad effects. The east direction of your house gets heavier due to the situation of the temple. This will have negative impact. Construct underground water tanks in East eshan and North eshan by leaving diagonal line in open area of East and North of your house.

Q: My flat is L-shaped at the north-west because of the lift. due to this, the north-east portion of the flat is getting extended. Please give me a remedy of this vaastu dosh.

A There is no complete solution for this vaastu dosh. It is not possible because the construction of the flat has already been completed. In the north-vayavya portion of the flat, construct a new cross wall by increasing the north-east, up to the lift area, and leaving a little space from that wall. This will decrease the bad effect of this vaastu dosh.

Q: vaastu has been followed since ancient times, but even today there are many people who do not believe in vaastu. How important is it to follow vaastu? The foundation of Vaastu was laid in the shastra (scriptures) when it was written about in ancient times. the principles written in the scriptures were relevant to situations of those times. The situation and necessity today, is very different. This is because the situation and necessity of human life changes as the time changes. Any principle written down need not be a conclusion. Necessity is the mother of invention, hence as the time changes, proper corrections are to be made as per requirement.

It is only because of the lack of awareness and improper guidance that people find it difficult to believe in or follow vaastu. That said, it is impossible to refrain from the effects of the energies generated through vaastu. the effects of earthing power, magnetic force, gravitation force, sun rays, natural energy etc., affect everybody equally on the bases of the five elements —water, fire, air, earth, sky.

Q: We started staying in this newly constructed house two years back. My husband mostly stays away for his job. My son started a shop in one part of the house. The shop incurred losses. My health is not good. Please offer solution to vaastu dosh.

The cut-off eshan of the house due to the toilet/bathroom in north-vayavya, underground water tank in agney and gas stove in east-eshan of the kitchen are causing your problems. The gas stove in eshan creates wasteful expenditure and bad health. Cooking in agney’s direction is healthy because, the infrared rays from the sun fall in this direction, which can destroy germs.

Make these changes for good results:

Fill up with mud the underground water tank in agney. Secondly, construct a new underground water tank in north-eshan of the open area by leaving the north-east corner. Next, shift the gas stove from east-eshan to agney’s corner of the kitchen and shift the door from north-vayavya to north-eshan of the bedroom. Build new walls in north and south of the toilet as shown in the map.

Q: I am planning to purchase one flat out of these three. The builder has assured me that all the flats are constructed as per vaastu. Please tell me which flat is the best.

Your builder is misguiding you, because all the three flats are not correct as per vaastu. Purchasing any of these flats will invite problems. The following are the vaastu dosh indicated as per the map:

FLAT No.1

  • Cutoff of north east.
  • Toilet/bathroom in east and this is coming in eshan of the kitchen.
  • The north east corner is cut-off of the master bedroom in south west, due to the attached toilet/bathroom in north vayavya of this room.
  • Door in south neirut of bedroom in north east.

FLAT No.2

  • Staircase in north eshan of the flat.
  • Doors in north vayavya of the hall and bedroom in south.
  • The north east corner is cutoff of master bedroom in south west, due to the attached toilet/bathroom in north vayavya of this room.

FLAT No.3

  • Staircase in east eshan of the flat.
  • North east corner is cut-off of the flat due to the lift, and balcony in north of the flat.
  • he north east corner is cut-off of master bedroom in south west, due to the attached toilet/bathroom in north vayavya of this room.
  • Door in east agney of the hall.

Q: I think that my house is constructed as per vaastu, because we have financially improved after entering into this house. But I am having frequent disputes with my wife and also facing difficulties in recovering money given to others. A vaastu expert told me that south face house becomes inauspicious. Please guide me.

People assume that a south facing house is inauspicious. However, this assumption is absolutely wrong. Problems will never arise if vaastu principles are correctly followed at the time of construction of the house. The vaastu power increased due to the borewell in north eshan of the house is the reason for your financial improvement. The vaastu dosh due to the septic tank in north of the open area, scarcity of fire element in the house, the doors in east agney of southwest room and south of boundary wall etc., are the reason for your problems.

In vaastu books it’s advised to construct the septic tank in the north direction, but as per my view to construct the septic tank in vayavya is better. The north direction of this house would be more than minus 20-25 degrees, by seeing the seriousness of your problems. Because of which, the septic tank constructed in the north is coming in the north eshan of the open area and the kitchen in north-west room is coming in north of the house, which is wrong as per vaastu, due to which altercations between husband and wife and financial loss are being created.

Fill with mud the septic tank in the north of the open area and construct a new septic tank in the west vayavya of the open area to get rid of this vaastu dosh. Make the southwest room as master bedroom to live a happily married life, to be safe from problems related to health and wealth of the male member and to avoid differences of opinion between husband and wife.

Shifting the kitchen from the northwest to the southeast of the house is the only better alternative to take advantage of the fire element of vaastu subject and to use the hall for drawing room. Shift the door from east agney of southwest room and south of boundary wall to south agney of southeast room and boundary wall to decrease the negative and increase the positive energy into the house. Your problem will come to an end and you will realise that the south face house is auspicious compared to houses facing other directions.

Q: Why am I facing problems like loss in business, quarrels, children’s poor performance in studies etc., even though I constructed this house under the guidance of a vaastu expert? Please suggest me the required changes so as to get rid of the problems.

You are facing a problematic life because the vaastu principles were not followed perfectly while constructing this house and the utilisation of the rooms are not made correctly. The northeast corner is cutoff of the house, under ground water tank is in the eshan corner of the open area, bedroom in south east room, children’s bedroom in south west room, common toilet in north eshan of the south west room, the doors fixed in wrong places etc., are the vaastu dosh obstructing your improvement. You will definitely get relief from your problems and you will live a happy and prosperous life in this house, after making the following changes:

  • Construct new walls in north and east, equal to the north and eastern wall of the house, by maintaining north east corner of the house equal to 90 degrees, in the cut off portion of north east of the house and fix the doors in east and north of this newly-constructed veranda.
  • Fill the underground water tank with mud in the eshan corner of the open area and construct new underground water tanks in the east eshan and north eshan, by leaving a diagonal line.
  • Demolish the common toilet/bathroom and join this portion with the north west room.
  • Shift the door in north to east of the toilet/bathroom in the south west of the north west room.
  • Shift the door from east eshan of toilet/bathroom in south, to north of this toilet/bathroom, so that this toilet/bathroom will be used commonly.
  • Shift the door from north vayavya of southern room to east eshan of this room.
  • Construct a new attached toilet/bathroom in south west corner of south west room, by increasing the floor level, if you require.
  • Utilise south east room for kitchen, north west room for children’s bedroom, southern room for bedroom and south west room for the master bed room.

Q: I want to construct a house as per vaastu on the plot shown above. Please guide me.

The determination of correct direction, surrounding geographical vaastu of the plot, your choice and requirement and the vaastu of your existing house have to be taken care of. To give instruction about new construction is impossible without inspection of the plot. Your present and future depends upon the vaastu of your house, so it is better to start the construction under the guidance of vaastu expert as per your financial ability and necessity. Please rectify the following vaastu dosh of this plot before starting the new construction:

The east eshan direction has vanished due to increase in east agney of the plot, and this is a very serious vaastu dosh, which creates many problems, including harming the house owner and his first son, lineage and self respect. Construct a new boundary wall in east of the plot by maintaining the north east corner less than 90 degrees, to get rid of vaastu dosh. It will increase the east eshan and will divide the extended portion of east agney of the plot, which is prosperous. You can sell the extended portion of east agney, to the neighbour in east of this plot, otherwise leave it open.

Vidhi-Shula (approach road) coming in west neirut of the plot, results in financial loss and is harmful for the life of the house owner. Construct a new room in front of this vidhi-shula to escape the bad effect of this. Let this vidhi-shula come across in west direction of this room, but take care that a little space is required between the room and the newly constructed house and use this room from the west direction only. This option will prevent the bad effect of this vidhi-shula to the ground floor only, but not to the upper floor. Another solution is to construct a staircase in front of this vidhi-shula and it is a better alternative to prevent the bad effect of this vidhi-shula in both the ground floor as well as the upper floor.

Q: We stay in a flat, which has a south facing door, our bed room in north east and south west is our kitchen. Many people have said that it is not good vaastu for a family. My problem is that we cannot make any changes, as it is a flat, though our own. Kindly suggest a remedy.

The kitchen in the southeast gives auspicious results of fire elements as per vaastu, which develops health and wealth. The controlling power of the house comes in the hands of the housewife, due to the kitchen in the southwest, because the southwest direction is the symbol of stability. No other remedy can be effective, except that the vaastu dosh should be rectified as per vaastu. The changes can be done in the flat, if you want to do so.

The bedroom in northeast of the flat is not recommended for the couple as per vaastu. It will be better to make the northwest room for master bedroom and northeast room for children’s bedroom. Keep the bed in southwest and leave empty space in northeast portions of northeast room, if there is no other alternative.

Q: The east agney of my plot is extended. Is there any vaastu dosh in constructing a house on this plot, if so, what to do? How should I utilise the extended portion in east agney?

The east eshan direction has vanished, due to increase of east agney, and this vaastu dosh is a serious one. The bad result of this vaastu dosh creates many problems including harming the life of house owner and his first son and obstructing in lineage. There is no other alternative than to divide the extended portion of east agney by constructing a boundary wall to be safe from this seriously effected vaastu dosh.

Q: Please advise on the required changes in this house as per vaastu principles to get positive results.

The following are the vaastu dosh in this house:

  • Open area in the west, instead of in the east.
  • Open space left in the south.
  • Underground water tank in south agney.
  • East eshan direction of the master bedroom is getting heavier, due to the storeroom.
  • Main entrance door in north vayavya of the house.
  • Doors in north vayavya of drawing room, north vayavya and south neirut of the kitchen and west neirut of the store room.
  • Staircase in the west direction of the house is coming in the north of the master bedroom.

The combined bad effect of above vaastu dosh plays a major role in health and wealth of the house owner, causes disturbance in the life of the housewife and second son, triggers quarrels, financial loss etc.

The following are the remedies:

  • Construct a new underground water tank in the north eshan of open area in the north, by leaving the eshan corner and fill with mud the existing underground water tank in the south agney of the house, to increase the source of income and get relief from problems.
  • Shift your bedroom from the southwest to the northwest room to get more benefit from the above vaastu change and relief from your health problem quickly.

Following changes are required to rectify the vaastu dosh of this house:

  • Shift the door from west of the house, to west vayavya of the open area in the north.
  • Shift the doors from north vayavya of drawing room, north vayavya and south neirut of the kitchen, to north eshan of the drawing room and north and south of the kitchen.
  • Fix a new main entrance door in the north of the northern boundary wall.
  • Keep the storeroom in the east eshan of the master bedroom empty.
  • Demolish the staircase in the west of the house and make new construction, including the construction of the new staircase, in open area of southwest portion of the house, under the guidance of perfect vaastu consultant, as per your requirement, to lead a happy and prosperous life in this house.
  • Construct a high platform in the open area of south neirut and of the garage, till the beginning of the new construction in the open area of the south west of the house.

Q: Since last two years, we are living in this rented house. We were living happily before shifting into this house, but we are facing financial loss, quarrels and ill health etc., after entering in this house. It’s not possible to make any big changes. Please guide us.

You were living happily before shifting into this house, but you are facing problems ever since you shifted here. Hence, it clearly states that changes in vaastu have resulted in changes of lifestyle. The vaastu dosh, namely, cut-off north-eshan of the plot, cut-off northeast and staircase in north eshan, cause financial loss, house quarrels and many such problems. Severe illness of the female member can take place due to sleeping in the eshan corner of the northeast room and the health and wealth of the male person will be adversely affected due to sleeping in agney corner of the southeast room. It will also increase disease connected with fire elements. Shift the kitchen from the west to southeast room and make the northwest room the bedroom. Keep the northeast empty and place some heavy furniture in the southwest of every room, till you can shift from this house. Instead of spending money to make changes in rented house, it’s better to immediately shift to another house, which should be as per vaastu norms, to get rid of your problems.

Q: Last year I purchased this constructed house and confirmed that the previous owner sold this house due to the problems faced in this house, like divorce from his wife, being framed falsely, legal hassles, loss in business etc. I am afraid that the same incidents may happen with me. Can I start living in this house without any changes? Otherwise what changes are required, so that I can live happily without any problems in this house.

The incidents faced by previous owner of this house is natural, because of the vaastu dosh like toilet, bathroom in the eshan corner of the open area, septic tank in agney corner, underground water tank in north vayavya, gas stove kept in eshan corner of the kitchen, door fixed in wrong place etc., in this house. You have already done a mistake by purchasing this vaastu dosh effected house without taking the advice of any vaastu consultant.

You should not repeat the mistake by living in this house without rectifying the vaastu dosh of this house, otherwise you have to face almost the same problems, as the previous owner faced. The following changes are required to rectify the vaastu dosh of this house:

Demolish the toilet and bathroom in open area of the eshan. Fill with mud the septic tank in agney corner and convert the underground water tank in north vayavya, as a septic tank.

Construct new underground water tanks in east eshan and north eshan of the open area in eshan, by leaving a diagonal line.

Construct new toilet and bathroom in open area of west vayavya by leaving little space from the northern wall of the house and boundary wall.

Shift the door from east agney of the boundary wall, east agney and north vayavya of agney and vayavya room to, east eshan of the boundary wall, north and south of agney’s room, east eshan and west vayavya of the north-west room.

Fix a new door in east eshan of north east room in such a way that more than two doors should not face each other.

Make the agney’s room as kitchen and keep the gas stove in agney corner of this room in such a way that the cook should face east while cooking. Utilise the north west room for children’s bedroom and north east room for a drawing room.

Q: In my house, the kitchen is on the ground floor and toilet/bathroom on the first floor in the north, master bedroom in the south east room and south west bed room for my son. I am having problems to find a suitable job. This has been happening since we purchased this house seven years back. How to rectify the problem

The kitchen and toilet/bathroom in the north of the house creates financial loss and house quarrels. The vaastu dosh of the north direction effects badly, especially to the life of house wife. Both husband and wife will get bad results because of your bedroom in south east and your son will be weak in studies and obstruction will come in his bright future, due to his bed room in southwest room. To get solution from your problems and to a prosperous life, rectify the vaastu dosh of your house under the guidance of a vaastu expert

Q: I used to run a shop with my partner. Last month, my partner died in the shop. My father thinks it inauspicious and is pressurising me to shut down the shop. I am earning a good profit from this shop, so I do not want to close down the business. Is it okay to close the shop permanently, if anybody died in the shop? Will it create any problem for me?

Ans: Life and death are the rules of nature. You need not to leave the place where the death has taken place thinking it to be inauspicious. No problem will be created in your life by this incident. You can continue your business in this shop without hesitation.

Q: Can we perform puja with the idol facing the north?

While performing the puja if the idol faces the north, you should face the south. If you perform puja facing the west vayavya, keeping the face of the god in the east, then the possibility of completing the desired task will be faster, which will not be possible by facing the south.

Q: I had built this house 11 years ago without consulting any vaastu scholar. I could not live in this house, even for a day. Please help.

Had you lived in this house, the vaastu dosh would have created many problems like adversely affecting your income, quarrels, financial loss, ill health, interruption in lineage etc. These are the vaastu dosh as per this map:

  • The cut-off of north east corner of the house.
  • Staircase in north eshan.
  • Kitchen in northern room and gas stove kept in eshan corner of the kitchen.
  • Open space left in agney, south neirut and west neirut.
  • South direction gets lighter due to the toilet/bathrooms in south.
  • Doors in north vayavya and south neirut of kitchen and north vayavya of south agney’s room.
  • The door in north eshan of north west room is wrong because this door is coming in the north vayavya.

Construction of the veranda in cut-off portion of northeast corner of the house, demolition of the staircase in north eshan of the house and construction of new staircase in west neirut of the open area, shifting of kitchen to agney’s room are also advised. Take the help of a good vaastu consultant to rectify the dosh.

Q: My house is constructed from northeast to southwest. There’s open place in the southeast. A road passes through the northeast and through the entrance gate to the lane opposite. We are facing lots of problems. Please help

A road passing through north east of your house, is called Vidhi-Shula (approach road) and this Vidhi-Shula coming to the north east of the house is auspicious. Definitely, the reason behind your problems will be the vaastu dosh of your house, but to get benefit from vaastu, you must attach your house map with all the structural details. Without the map, I can’t guess the vaastu dosh and suggest the possible changes to rectify them. It is also difficult to give you the required changes because you have not sent the detail of surrounding open area of the house. Your dreams to live a happy and prosperous life in this house can be brought into reality, hence it is better to rectify the above cited vaastu dosh under the guidance of a good vaastu consultant.

Q: The main door of my house faces the north. We are suffering from health and finance related problems from the past two years. There is lack of sunlight in my house, can this be a reason for these problems? Please suggest remedies. Can feng-shui items help us?

Different types of vaastu dosh at different directions of the house are the reason for the problems. You have not sent your house map with all structural details, which is compulsory, therefore it is not possible to give solution about your problems through information only about the main door facing of your house.

As per my view, feng-shui items cannot help to get rid of any of the problems, though you can try.

Q: This is my new house plan. Does this plan conform to vaastu principles? I want to start construction of this house, so please comment on the vaastu dosh, if any.

Vaastu analysis of this new house plan:

Construction of underground water tank in north eshan is correct, but you will get more benefit from this underground water tank, if this is constructed near, instead of leaving more space, from the diagonal line. Positive energy will flow into the house from north, but positive energy will decrease from east direction to the house, because of the road in the north and neighbour’s house in the east.

Construction of an additional underground water tank in east eshan, including north eshan will be better to increase the positive energy from east eshan. Excess construction in north eshan and south agney, compared to north vayavya and south neirut is wrong. Self-respect decreases because of excess open area in the west compared to the east.

Problems will be created in finance, because of the septic tank in the east of the open area and toilet/bathroom in the east of the house, and this vaastu dosh will affect the housewife all the more, because this septic tank and toilet/bathroom are coming in eshan direction of the kitchen.

Door fixed in the north vayavya of the boundary wall is wrong and five doors are coming in straight opposite line in the north eshan to the south agney of the northwest and southwest room, through the more than two doors fixed straight opposite, the stored positive energy in the house will come out.

The inflow of negative energy will increase in the rooms through the doors in the south neirut of the northeast room, north vayavya of the south east room and window in the south neirut of northwest room. The health of the housewife will be affected due to the bedroom in the northeast room and also financial loss and quarrels will not stop, because the septic tank in east of the open area will come in agney’s direction of this room. Start construction under the guidance of an expert vaastu consultant, by determining the correct directions of the house and keeping in mind the above vaastu dosh.

Q: I built a house without contacting any vaastu consultant. The bedrooms are in the west, kitchen in the east, store room in the south east, toilet/bathrooms in south and south west, ten feet open space in north and five feet in east of my house. I incurred a huge financial loss after I started staying in this house. Please advise me some cost-effective remedies.

The effect of earthing power, magnetic force, gravitation force, sun rays, energy from solar, natural energy etc., affect everyone equally. The complete information about your solution is not possible without your house map with all structural details, but the following changes will help to get rid of your problems and improvement in finance:

  • Construct new underground water tanks in east eshan and north eshan of the open area in eshan, by leaving a diagonal line.
  • Utilise the southeast room as kitchen and keep the gas stove in agney corner of this room, while the cook should face the east.
  • Increase the floor level of the toilet/bathrooms in south and southwest.
  • Keep empty space in northeast and heavy items in southwest of every room.

Q: My house is constructed without leaving any open place in the south and west, there’s five feet open space in the north and the east faces the main road. In northwest corner, 5’x5’ is used for toilet/bathroom for ground and first floor. The door of the toilet/bathroom in the ground floor is from the outside and for the first floor, it’s from inside. Please clarify the ill effects of closing the northwest corner for the above purpose and suggestions to rectify the same.

The availability of space and requirement to keep in mind is necessary, while following the vaastu principles. The usage of toilet/ bathroom in northwest of the ground floor from outside is not wrong. The open space is in north of the first floor, but north and north eshan direction of first floor is cutoff, because the toilet/bathroom used from inside the house, in north west corner of the first floor is harmful. The door of this toilet/bathroom should be shifted in east direction as in case of the ground floor, so that this toilet/bathroom can be utilised from outside, to be safe from vaastu dosh.

Q: Earlier, I led a happy life in a rented house. Last year, I purchased and started staying in this house (map above) and started a shop in northeast corner room of this plot. I am facing loss in business, altercation with the customers in the shop and dispute with my wife. Please suggest changes to rectify the vaastu dosh of this house and suggest a place to dig a new borewell.

Proper care should be taken at the time of changing vaastu under the guidance of an expert vaastu consultant, human life also changes as per changed vaastu, and it is happening with you also. The following are the vaastu dosh of this house, which are also the reasons for your problems:

Northeast direction of this plot gets heavier due to the shop, and northeast corner is cutoff of the plot because the door is not fixed to enter into the house from the shop. Underground water tank is in the agney corner of the open area.

The neirut direction gets lighter due to the location of the toilet and bathroom. The gas stove kept in eshan corner of the kitchen will also lead to problems. The following changes are required to get rid from the above-cited vaastu dosh:

There is no other alternative then to demolish the shop in northeast corner of the plot, because it is impossible to imagine a happy life without rectifying the vaastu dosh of eshan direction.

Fix the doors in north eshan and east of northwest room and utilise this room for shop, utilise room no. 2 for kitchen and keep the gas stove in the agney corner of room no. 2 in such a way that the cook should face the east while cooking. Fill with mud the underground water tank in the agney corner and construct a new underground water tank in north eshan and dig the new borewell in the east eshan, by leaving the eshan corner of the open area. Shift the door from east agney, north vayavya and south neirut of the eastern room, to east eshan, north eshan and south agney of this room.

This will solve all your problems and improve your financial position within a few days.

Demolish the toilet and bathroom in neirut, construct a new toilet and bathroom in the south agney of the open area, by leaving a little space from the eastern boundary wall, and increase the floor level of the southwest room and utilise this room as kitchen, after improvement in your financial life, to get more benefit from vaastu.

Q: I have purchased this plot two years back. I wanted to start new construction on this plot, but obstructions have arisen. To get rid of extended portion in west neirut and Vidhi-Shula (approach road) in south agney, puja for vaastu shanti is required, as a vaastu Pandit advised. Another vaastu Pandit advised to sell this plot. I am confused. Please guide me and clear my doubt. Also, will it be wrong to dig the borewell in the north as indicated in the map?

Your vaastu Pandit is misguiding you about the vaastu subject, because the increase in east eshan and north eshan of the plot improves financial movement and prosperity. The vidhi-shula coming in south agney of this plot develops health and wealth. The extended portion in west neirut of the plot is not wrong and it will not create any vaastu dosh. Pooja for vaastu shanti are inter linked with your religious belief, whether to perform or not is depends on you. You will enjoy a happy and prosperous life after you start staying in the newly-constructed house on this plot, if you will follow the vaastu principle while construction.

Neither the plot has any vaastu dosh, nor the vaastu of this plot has any connection with the obstruction in the new construction on this plot. The only reason behind obstruction in construction of the house on this plot is from the vaastu of the house where you are living now. Your new construction will be completed without any impediments, if you rectify the vaastu dosh of your present house before starting the new construction on this plot.

The borewell indicated in the map in north direction of the plot will come in north vayavya direction of the northeast room of the newly-constructed house, which will be wrong. Construct an underground water tank in east eshan and borewell in north eshan by living a diagonal line in the eshan, it will improve your finance and prosperity.

Q: I am living in a rented house and the house owner assured me that this house has been constructed as per vaastu, I am facing heavy loss in business after shifting into this house. I observed that the staircase in eshan and borewell in north vayavya of this house can be a reason for my problems. But our house owner told me that he has installed a Ganesha idol by performing puja, so that the vaastu dosh of the staircase in eshan and borewell in north vayavya will not affect me. I am confused, what to do?

Your observation is perfectly correct that the staircase in eshan and the borewell in north vayavya of the house is the reason behind loss in your business. If the vaastu dosh of the house can be removed by installation of an idol or by performing pooja, you wouldn’t have faced these difficulties. The vaastu dosh of this house is the only reason for your problem. To be safe from this and to live a happy and prosperous life, the only alternative is to shift immediately to another house, which should be as per vaastu norms.

Q: I am about to construct a house, ground floor for parking and two flats in two floors above. The plot size north to south is 38 feet and east to west is 24 feet. Let me know in which part of the house the staircase should be located.

Construct the staircase in southern part of the house, so that the south direction of the house and south-west direction of the plot will get heavier, will give you stability. This is the best place for the staircase.

Q: We have a bathroom constructed in the southwest corner of the bedroom in the southwest. Many say that the bathroom in southwest creates ill effect in business, marriage etc. To nullify the bad effects, we have kept a large mirror in the bathroom. Will it be effective? Is there any alternative?

It is a fact that the neirut direction gets lighter due to toilet/bathroom in southwest corner, which results in financial loss, ill health, delay in marriage of first son etc., but it is impossible to get rid of this vaastu dosh by keeping the mirror in bathroom. Increase the floor level of this toilet/bathroom, compared to floor level of the house and flow the drainage through a pipeline (Without making a drainage manhole on the floor), so that the southwest corner of the house will get heavier and you will get relief from bad effects of this vaastu dosh.

Q: I am facing a lot of problems in my personal life — financial crisis, delay in daughter’s marriage, father’s ill health, disputes with my husband, stress etc. I would like to know if the vaastu of my house is the reason. Suggest ways to overcome the vaastu dosh, if any.

Following are the vaastu dosh that are indicated in the map that you sent:

  • Underground water tank in Eshan corner and on diagonal line.
  • Septic tank in Vayavya corner.
  • Staircase in North Eshan. This is having a negative impact on your father’s health as it is situated in the East Eshan of their bedroom.
  • Doors in North Vayavya of boundary wall and East Agney of Northwest room.
  • Your daughter’s bedroom in southern part of the house.

The following changes are suggested that can solve your problems:

  • Fill the underground water tank in Eshan corner with mud and construct a new one in Eshan by leaving diagonal line.
  • Fill the septic tank with mud in Vayavya corner and construct a new septic tank in North Vayavya, by leaving the vayavya corner.
  • Try to demolish the staircase and construct new staircase in the South West.
  • Shift the door from North Vayavya to North Eshan, so that more than two doors don’t face each other.
  • Shift the door from East Agney to East Eshan of Vayavya room.
  • Make the southern room your father’s bedroom.
  • Shift your daughter’s room in Northwest corner. This can result in a faster marriage.

Q: Will I benefit if I dig a new borewell in Northeast, keeping the existing borewell in Southwest of my house? We are facing financial and health problems.

Digging of borewell in East Eshan can be very auspicious while digging one in North Eshan by leaving a diagonal line in Eshan improves one’s finances. By digging borewell in the right place, you will enhance the positive effects of vaastu and this will be beneficial for you and your family. But, the vaastu dosh created by the borewell in the Southwest of your house will effect you as it is. For a permanent solution, it will be best if you fill up the borewell in the Southwest with mud and close it.

Q: This house was constructed five years back, in my wife’s name. Dispute between family members and financial loss started after staying in this house. According to our vaastu pandit, this house does not match the raashi and stars of my wife, hence problems are arising. Last year I have changed the registration of the house in my name as per his instruction. But our problems have not reduced. What can we do?

Changing registration is not a solution. The map indicates the following vaastu dosh:

  • Cutting of the northeast corner has lead to the vanishing of the east eshan, resulting in financial loss. It may also pose a health threat for your first son.
  • The underground water tank is causing financial losses because it’s constructed on diagonal line leaving distance from the boundary wall.
  • The staircase in north of the house has lead to financial loss and domestic quarrels.
  • There is an excess inflow of negative energy, because of the door in east agney of boundary wall and east agney and north vayavya of agney room.
  • To rectify the above dosh, construct new walls for veranda that will be of the same height as the northern wall of the hall and eastern wall of the agney’s room. Fix the doors in east and north of this veranda.
  • Fill the underground water tank with mud and construct a new one in east eshan and north eshan by leaving a diagonal line, near the boundary wall.
  • You must demolish the staircase in north and construct a new one in south neirut.
  • Shift the doors from east agney of boundary wall and agney room, to east eshan of boundary wall and south of agney’s room.
  • Use the agney room as kitchen, neirut for master bedroom and hall as drawing room.

Q: I am staying in a rented flat with my family and ever since we moved in, we have been facing several problems. Is this because of the vaastu dosh of the house? Please suggest what we can do.

Since you have started facing problems ever since you shifted to the new house, it must be due to the vaastu dosh. The only option is to overhaul the design of the house as per vaastu norms. However it might not be feasible in a rented flat as the owner might not permit. Also it is not practical to spend so much on re-constructing a rented apartment. So the safest bet is to shift to a new house that is built as per vaastu norms.

Q: This is the plan of my new house prepared under the guidance of a vaastu pandit. Construction has stopped due to financial problem, after completion of pillar work. What can be the reason behind this? Is it due to vaastu dosh? Kindly give solution to my problems and suggest if there’s any vaastu dosh in this plan?

This plan is full of vaastu dosh. The vaastu dosh of this under construction house will not affect you, till you start staying in this house, after completion of the construction. The reasons for your financial problem are the vaastu dosh of your existing house, in which you are living now. Hence try to rectify the vaastu dosh of your existing house before starting new construction. The following are the vaastu dosh as indicated in this map:

  • Underground water tank in eshan corner.
  • Septic tank in north.
  • The east and east eshan direction of the house is cut-off, because of the extended portion in east agney of the wash area.
  • The toilet in north of the house is coming in north eshan of northwest room, which will badly affect the user of this room.
  • East eshan direction is cutoff of neirut room, due to the attached toilet/bathroom in east agney of this room.
  • The toilet in vayavya of southern room is coming in east eshan and the staircase in west of the house is coming in north of the neirut room, which will create serious problems for the user of this room.
  • Eshan is cutoff of the hall because the puja room has been constructed in eshan corner of the hall.
  • The combined bad effect of above serious vaastu dosh creates financial loss, interruption in lineage and income, problematic life for the house owner and his first son, quarrels, disturbed atmosphere at home etc.

Rectify the vaastu dosh of your existing house, and only then start construction of the new house under the guidance of a reliable vaastu consultant.

Q: I am living in a rented flat on fourth floor, and my office is in one of the rooms of this flat. I have an open plot near this flat. I cannot start construction of a new house in the next two-three years in this plot because of insufficient funds. How do I utilise this plot to increase my source of income? Please advise.

Construct a room in the southwest portion of this plot, by increasing the floor level and utilise this newly constructed room for office purpose. Construct underground water tanks in east eshan and north eshan by leaving a diagonal line, near the boundary wall.

However, your lifestyle will depend on vaastu of the flat you are residing, but if you start sitting continuously in this newly constructed office, the vaastu power will increase your source of income and self-respect, because earth power flows excessively on the ground floor.

Q: A west-facing plan for new house was given in this column previously. I request you to give us the east, north and south-facing plan.

You did not read the matter carefully, because I never gave any plan of a new house facing any direction in this column. It was a reader’s house plan, in which he wanted to know the vaastu dosh of his new house plan, and I had given the information about the vaastu dosh, based on that plan.

Q: Please suggest some changes if needed because I am facing a lot of problems, like debts, mental tension, quarrels with my parents and sometimes with my wife.

The following are the vaastu dosh of this house which are the reasons for your problems…

  • The east and east eshan (the corner of the east and north) direction is the cutoff of the house.
  • The staircase is in the east and the toilet/bathroom is in the east and east eshan.
  • Four straight opposite doors in the north vayavya (portion between the west and the northwest).

The cutoff of the eshan of the house comes in the category of serious Vaastu dosh, which destroys life. This Vaastu dosh could affect the life of your first son. Changes may not be possible due to your financial reasons but instead of living in this type of seriously affected Vaastu dosh house, one alternative is to leave and shift into another rented house, which should be as per Vaastu norms. However, the following changes are required, if you want to live a happy and prosperous life in this house…

  • Construct an underground water tank in the north eshan, by leaving the eshan corner of the shop, to improve your financial position immediately.
  • Constructing an additional underground water tank in the east eshan of the shop on the road, will bring prosperity quickly.
  • Construct a new wall in the east, by maintaining the north east corner of the house below 90 degrees and demolish the divided portion of the east and east agney of the house. So that the east eshan of house will increase --- this will be prosperous.
  • Demolish the staircase in the east and the toilet/bathrooms in the east and east eshan of the house.
  • Construct a new toilet/bathroom by increasing the floor level of south west portion of the neirut room and the western part of west vayavya room.
  • Construct a wall by removing all the four doors in the north vayavya from the shop to the house and fix the doors in the north, east, west vayavya and south agney of the shop and the north eshan of the hall and neirut room.

You will not face any disturbance while completing these changes, if you make them as per the sequence given and you will be happy and prosperous in this house after they are completed.

Q: Our building is facing west. We dug a borewell in the north west, as we could not get water in the north east, would this cause any problem? What would be the repercussion, if we dig a borewell in the south east in an open yard? However, the kitchen is in south east leaving an open area of four feet in the south, three feet in the north and a toilet/bathroom in the north eastern corner of the house.

A The borewell in the north west is wrong. There will be financial losses and your image will suffer if the borewell is in the west vayavya, however your position will equal bankruptcy and your wife's life may be filled with problems, if the borewell is in the north vayavya.

The kitchen in south east of the house is auspicious as per Vaastu , but it will decrease the auspicious results of the kitchen, if you dig a borewell in the south east. Problems will arise in finances, there will be quarrels, court cases, and the lives of your second son and wife will cause problems, because this borewell comes in the agney of the kitchen. Your financial problems will increase because of the excess area in the south as compared to the north.

The toilet/bathroom in the north east corner of the house is very inauspicious, because this Vaastu dosh creates problems in finance, unwanted disputes between family members etc. A divorce is possible for the first son or the house owner (if the first son is a child), due to the toilet in the eshan of the house, the kitchen in the north and the underground water source in agney, but the above problems can be faced, after a while because the kitchen is in the south east. The alternative is to make underground water sources in the eshan of the open area, by leaving a diagonal line. The Vaastu dosh of the house should be rectified as per Vaastu principles under the guidance of a Vaastu expert - this is the only way to live a happy and prosperous life.

Q: Please provide the necessary clarification of this plan.

The following comprise the Vaastu dosh as indicated in this plan…

  • The cutoff of the south and west direction, and the agney, vayavya and neirut corners would not give negative effects but the cutoff of the east and north direction and the eshan corner would have negative effects.
  • There is an excess of open area in the south and the eshan as compared to the north and neirut.
  • The staircase is in the north eshan
  • The toilet is in the north.
  • The cutoff of the east eshan of the north west room and the east of the south west room.
  • The cutoff of the north eshan of the kitchen, the eshan’s and agney’s room.
  • The toilet in the north of the house falls in the north eshan of the north west room.
  • The underground water sources are not indicated.

This plot is called an agney facing plot because of the road in the east and south of the plot. As it is clear by the name a fire element flows excessively in an agney facing plot. An excess of the fire element is harmful to the human body. Is this is a new house plan or a constructed house?

Do not make a mistake — if you want to construct a new house as per this plan, — the above cited Vaastu dosh indicated as per this map will destroy your happy life. Many changes have to be made if this is constructed house, and you are living in it. As per my view it would be better to rectify the Vaastu dosh under the guidance of a well experienced Vaastu consultant by keeping the above mentioned Vaastu dosh in mind.

Q: Two years ago, I bought a shop while I was living in a rented house. My business was running very well and I had a happy life. Now my business is going down and other problems are coming to the fore. All this began after we shifted to another rented house, some months ago. Please tell me what I should do?

You were living a happy and financially improved life, because of the Vaastu power of your previous house. As you changed your house, your lifestyle has also changed as per the changed Vaastu. The problems that started in your life after you shifted house merely confirms that this is a Vaastu dosh affected house. You would not have faced any problems if you had taken care of Vaastu, while shifting. To turn your problematic lifestyle into a happy and prosperous one, you have only one alternative — that is to shift into another house, which should be as per Vaastu norms.

Q: Ten years ago we constructed a house and gave it out on rent. After one year of this construction, my father suffered a paralytic attack. He died two years later. I want to know the reason behind this. Is it because of the Vaastu dosh of the house in which we never lived? Now we are planning to renovate the house and shift into it. Please give us your valuable inputs regarding Vaastu.

The Vaastu of the house constructed by you in which you never lived, will never affect you. Only your tenant will be affected by the Vaastu of that house. The incidents happening in your life depend upon the Vaastu of the house in which you are presently living. When you are planning to renovate and shift to the said house, it would be wise to do so under the guidance of an expert Vaastu consultant. By rectifying the Vaastu dosh, if any, you will live a problem-free, happy and prosperous life in the said house.

Q: Our Vaastu Pandit has installed a Vaastu dosh Nivaran Yantra, because our house is south facing and to get rid of problems like financial crises though the source of income is good, disputes between family members, ill health etc., but in vain. My problem will be solved if I demolish the staircase in the east of the house and construct a new one in the north vayavya of the house, says one of my friends. Please suggest some changes that will help solve my problems.

It is ridiculous to think that you can get rid of the Vaastu dosh of the house by installing a yantra. No yantra has the power in obliterating the negative effect of the energy that arises due to the Vaastu dosh of the house. The borewell situated in the north-eshan of this house is the reason behind your financial inflow. But the staircase situated in the east direction of the house, breaks the image and financial development. The gas stove kept in the eshan corner of the kitchen, causes financial losses and quarrels between family members. The doors situated in the south neirut of the compound wall and the west-neirut of the house, result in the flow of energy, which decreases the positive and increases the negative.

Demolishing the staircase in the east is correct but constructing a new staircase in the north vayavya of the house will be also wrong, because a staircase constructed in the north vayavya of the house will come in the north direction of north west room. The Vaastu dosh of this house is the only reason for your problems, not the house that faces south. The following changes are required.

  • There is no other alternative than to demolish the staircase in the east, and construct a new staircase in west of the house, because new construction is strongly required in an excess of open area in the west as compared to the east of the house.
  • Fill with mud, the septic tank in the neirut and construct a new septic tank in the west vayavya, by leaving the vayavya corner of the open area.
  • Shift the gas stove from the eshan corner to the agney corner of the kitchen, in such a way that the cook faces east.
  • Shift the doors from the south neirut of the boundary wall, west neirut of the south west room, and north vayavya of the kitchen and hall, to the south agney of the boundary wall, west vayavya of the north west room, north of the kitchen and the north eshan of the hall.
  • Make the south west room the master bed room and make the hall a drawing room.

Q: I want to shift my residence. Please advise me as to which direction is preferable.

This point has no importance in Vaastu. You can shift your house as per the Vaastu norms of your choice, even though the house could be in any direction from your present house.

Q: Give me some suggestions for this house plan because of which I am facing a lot of problems.

Mainly two Vaastu dosh are indicated in this map. First the underground water tank in the south, and second the east and the east eshan direction which has vanished, because a portion in the east agney of the house is extended. The problem creates an obstruction in income and lineage, is harmful for the life of the house owner and his first son etc., due to the cutoff of the east and east eshan direction and it is highly possible that because of this you are suffering financially as well. The life of housewife becomes problematic, because of the underground water tank in the south.

Because of all the above, health problems of female members, sleeping in the north eshan room are possible. The eshan corner of the house gets heavier due to the puja platform constructed in the eshan. This will give bad results connected with the Vaastu dosh of the eshan. The following changes are required to get rid of your problems…

  • There is no other alternative but to divide the extended portion in the east agney by constructing a new wall equal to the eastern wall of the house.
  • Fill with mud, the underground water tank in the south of the house and construct a new one in the north eshan of the hall.
  • Demolish the puja platform in eshan and shift the puja place to the west of the hall.
  • If possible, use the room in the north west, or in the north vayavya as a master bedroom and the north eshan room for the children’s bedroom.

The above cited changes are given by observing the north direction equal to zero degrees of the house and your problems. If the north direction of the house is in plus 15 to 20 degrees or more, then the toilet in the east of the shop, will come in the east eshan of the shop. This will be wrong for the shop so in this situation a new underground water tank should be constructed in the east eshan of the hall, instead of the north eshan. This will be beneficial. It is advisable that you determine the correct direction of the house under the guidance of an experienced Vaastu consultant. If you keep the above changes in mind it will be very beneficial for you.

Q: I meditate sitting, facing the east. Is this correct?

Meditating facing in east or the west is good, but it would be better if you sat in the east eshan or west vayavya.

Q: We are planning to purchase a flat, constructed six years ago. Kindly let me know about it as per the rules of Vaastu?

The Vaastu dosh indicated as per this map is as under…

  • The cutoff north east corner of the balcony is in east eshan
  • The staircase is in the north of the flat.
  • The kitchen is in the eastern room
  • The toilet/bathroom in the west neirut in the eshan room comes in the north of the drawing room
  • The bedroom is in the agney room
  • The main entrance is in the north vayavya of the flat.
  • The doors in the east agney and the south neirut of the eshan’s room, east agney of the dining room and the south neirut of agney’s room.

To get auspicious results is possible because of the open area in the east and north eshan of the flat, but as time passes, problems shall be faced due to the bad effects of the above Vaastu dosh, like interruptions in income, domestic quarrels, financial losses, ill-health, etc.

You can rectify the Vaastu dosh of the internal flat. But demolishing the staircase and constructing a new staircase as per Vaastu rules is totally impossible, because the staircase is common and constructed up to the upper floors. By purchasing a Vaastu affected flat you will start to live a problematic life instead of a happy one. It would be better for you to buy a flat constructed as per Vaastu rules otherwise living in a rented flat, which should be as per Vaastu norms, would be better. So think carefully and take a proper decision.

Q: I am facing financial problems and mental tension in this house, which was constructed last year. A Vaastu consultant found three points where the energy was negative and advised me to install three different types of Yantra’s, to destroy the negative energy in the house. Will this system destroy the negative energy in this house or what steps should be taken to solve my problems?

The Vaastu dosh created in the house is because of Vaastu principles not followed correctly while constructing the house. Negative energy is generated due to the Vaastu dosh of the house, because of which different types of problems will be faced. If by installing Yantras in the house you could get rid of the problem or lead a prosperous life, without rectifying the Vaastu dosh as per Vaastu principles, everybody would live a happy and prosperous life! This is highly impossible. Get your house map with all the structural details analysed by an expert, because the different Vaastu dosh of the house are the reasons for your financial problem. To get rid of your financial problems immediately, a better alternative is to construct underground water sources in the eshan of the open area, by leaving a diagonal line.

Q: I have rented out the north east portion of my house and retained the remaining part for my own use on the advice of our Vaastu pandit. Why am I still facing financial problems, domestic quarrels and the like, even after my house is perfect as per Vaastu rules? Please point out the Vaastu dosh of this house, so that I can rectify it to live happily.

It is only your thinking that this house is perfect as per Vaastu, because of your insufficient knowledge about the subject. You are living a problematic life instead of being happy, because the portion of the east eshan is given on rent. By leaving the kitchen in the east agney, the north east corner has cutoff a portion of the area under your own use. Given below is the Vaastu dosh in this house:

  • The septic tank in the east agney of the open area also comes in the east eshan of the kitchen.
  • The toilet in second part of the eastern direction comes in the north eshan of the kitchen.
  • The staircase in the north vayavya of the house comes in the north direction of the drawing room as well as both the bedrooms.
  • The south west portion of the master bedroom is getting lighter because of the toilet/bathroom constructed in the agney.
  • The doors are fixed in the inauspicious places of the north vayavya and west neirut of the eshan and eastern room. The north vayavya of the toilet or bathroom in the second part of the east of the house, the west neirut of the drawing room and the east agney of the western room of the house.

The following changes are required in order to get rid of your problems effectively and immediately:

  • Vacate the portion of the east eshan from the tenant and keep it for your personal use.
  • Fill the septic tank in the east agney with mud and construct a new one in the north vayavya or west vayavya, by leaving a vayavya corner.
  • Demolish the toilet/bathroom in the second part of the eastern direction of the house and club this portion with the kitchen or eastern room, otherwise remove the toilet from this bathroom and utilise the space for bathing purposes only.
  • Construct a new underground water tank in the north eshan in the open area of eshan by leaving a diagonal line.

After making the above changes you will get relief from your problems and your financial problems will also be over. You can live a happy and prosperous life in this house after the following things take place:

Demolishing the staircase in the north vayavya and constructing a new one in the west neirut, demolishing the toilet/bathroom in the agney and constructing a new one in the south west portion of the house by increasing the floor level of the master bedroom — otherwise increase the floor level of the master bedroom and shift the doors from inauspicious places to auspicious ones.

Q: We are planning to purchase a flat constructed six years ago. Kindly let me know if it is as per Vaastu rules and norms?

The following are the Vaastu dosh indicated as per this map…

  • The cutoff north east corner of balcony in east eshan
  • The staircase is in the north of the flat.
  • The kitchen is in the eastern room
  • The toilet/bathroom in the west neirut in the eshan room comes in the north of the drawing room
  • The bedroom is in the agney room
  • The main entrance is in the north vayavya of the above flat.
  • The doors are in the east agney and south neirut of eshan’s room, east agney of the dining area and south neirut of agney’s room.

Getting of auspicious results is possible because of the open area in the east and north eshan of the flat, but as time passes, you will face some problems due to the bad effect of the above Vaastu dosh. Problems could be an interruption in income, domestic quarrels, financial losses, ill-health, etc.

Rectifying the Vaastu dosh of the internal flat is possible but demolishing the staircase and constructing a new staircase as per Vaastu is totally impossible, because the staircase is common and constructed up to the upper floors.

By purchasing a Vaastu affected flat you will start living a problematic life instead of a happy and prosperous one. Thus either purchase a flat constructed as per Vaastu, otherwise live in a rented flat which should be as per Vaastu norms. Think carefully before you make a decision.

Q: We purchased a plot, in which the portion on the right (entrance) is extended. Is the construction of house on this plot correct? Any corner of the plot should not cutoff or extend, as our Vaastu Pandit advised.

You have not mentioned which direction of the plot is extended. The Vaastu dosh of the cutoff of the eshan, gives harmful results. If the cutoff or extension is in any direction or corner other than the eshan, you need not worry and start construction by following the principles of Vaastu without any tension, because you will not get any bad results.

Q: Kindly tell me if the Vaastu of my house is correct. If not how do I correct it? Is it necessary to live in a rented house or can any alteration be undertaken? Please tell the positive as well as negative points.

How can I give you a solution for Vaastu dosh when the sketch sent by you is not clear. If the house is your own, you can make possible changes to rectify the Vaastu dosh, if any. However, if it is a rented house making changes are not possible. If you are facing any problems in a rented house it is clear that the Vaastu dosh of the house is the reason behind this. In this situation, shifting to another rented house, which should be as per Vaastu norms, is intelligent.

Q: Two years ago, I bought a shop while living in rented house. My business was running very well and I was living a happy life. But now, my business is suffering and other problems are cropping up after shifting to another rented house, some months ago. What do you suggest I should do?

You were living a happy and financially sound life, because of the Vaastu power of your previous house. As you changed your house, your lifestyle also changed as per changed Vaastu. The problems started in your life after you shifted home, and this means it is confirmed, that this is a Vaastu dosh affected house. You would not have faced any problems if you had taken care of Vaastu, while shifting your house. To lead a happy and prosperous life, you have only one alternative - that is to shift into another house, which should be constructed as per Vaastu norms.

Q: We have been continuously facing problems in finance, health and we have had many domestic quarrels after we started staying in this house, constructed under the guidance of a Vaastu Pandit. Last year, I purchased a plot in the east of this house and fixed a door to enter into the plot, because our Vaastu Pandit told us that leaving an open space to the east of the house becomes very auspicious. How-ever my financial position has got worse after I purchased this plot. Please give the reasons and a solution to my problems

You are facing a problematic life instead of a happy and prosperous one, because your Vaastu adviser was incapable of guiding you at the time you purchased the plot to the east of the house you constructed. Your problems started with finance, domestic quarrels, including the life of your wife, which has become problematic. All these are due to the staircase constructed in the north and the toilet in the north eshan. Financial losses begin instead of gains, because of the underground water tank constructed in the eshan corner of the house. It is a fact that to purchase or to leave open space to the east of the house becomes very auspicious and prosperous, but it will be possible only when the north direction of the house is in zero degrees or in the plus category.

It is clear that the north direction of your house must be in minus 15-20 degrees or more, because your problems have increased since you’re purchasing the plot to the east of this house. Due to this, the staircase in the north is diverted in the north eshan, and the open space in the east is diverted in the east agney. The Vaastu dosh of excess open space in the east agney compared to the east eshan affects your finance and health and can affect the life of the first son. The increase of the east eshan including the cut-off of the east of the plot, purchased to the east of the house, which gives auspicious results of increasing the east eshan, including inauspicious results due to the cutoff of the east. The following changes are required if you want to get a solution to your problems immediately.

  • Demolish the wall between the plot and open area in the north of the house and shift the door, which is fixed to enter in the plot to the east eshan of the hall.
  • Construct a new cross boundary wall in the east eshan of the open area in the east, as indicated in the map.
  • Fill the underground water tank in the eshan corner of the house with mud and construct a new one in the north eshan of the open area in the east, by leaving a diagonal line.
  • There is no other alternative than to demolish the staircase, toilet and bathroom in the north eshan of the house and construct a new staircase, toilet and bathroom in the southern part of the open area in the east, by keeping in mind that the toilet should not be constructed below the staircase.
  • Increase the floor level of the shop in the south west room, in comparison to the floor level of the house.
  • Shift the doors from the north vayavya of the kitchen and the west neirut of the open area, to the north eshan of the kitchen and the west vayavya of the open area.

Q: Please tell me whether my plot complies with Vaastu principles or not?

You need not to worry, because the eshan corner is not cutoff and vidhi-shula is not coming in wrong place of the plot. Your plot comes in one of the best categories because the road is in the east and north. You should take care while constructing a house on this plot as you should ensure that you are safe from the negative energy generated from the south and west directions, because the other person’s open plot is in the south and west.

Q: Please give suggestions concerning this plan because I am facing a lot of problems.

Mainly two Vaastu dosh are indicated in this map: the underground water tank in the south, and that the east and east eshan direction is not there because a portion in the east agney of the house is extended. This creates an obstruction in income and can be harmful for the life of the owner, his first son etc. Due to the cutoff of the east and the east eshan direction it is highly possible that you will suffer financial losses. The life of the housewife is affected because of the underground water tank in the south. This can also cause financial losses.

Including the above Vaastu dosh problem could begin pertaining to the health of the female member sleeping in the north eshan room. The eshan corner of the house gets ‘heavier’ due to the puja platform constructed in the eshan. This implies that bad results connected with the Vaastu dosh of eshan will be faced.

The following changes are required to get rid of these problems:-

  • There is no other alternative than to divide the extended portion in the east agney by constructing a new wall equal to the eastern wall of the house.
  • Fill the underground water tank in the south of the house with mud and construct a new one in the north eshan of the hall.
  • Demolish the puja platform in eshan and shift it to the west of the hall.
  • If possible, utilise the room in the north west, or in the north vayavya as a master bedroom and use the room in the north eshan as the children’s bedroom.

The above changes are given by observing the north direction equals to zero degrees of the house and your problems. If the north direction of the house is in plus 15 to 20 degrees or more, then the toilet in the east of the shop, will come in the east eshan of the shop. This will not be correct for the shop, and so in this situation, a new underground water tank should be constructed in the east eshan of the hall, instead of the north eshan. It is advisable that you determine the correct direction of the house under the guidance of an experienced Vaastu consultant keeping in mind the above cited changes.

Q: I am facing financial problems and mental tension in this house which was constructed last year. A Vaastu consultant found three points where negative energies are creating havoc and advised me to install three different types of yantras to destroy the negative energy in this house. Will this system work? What steps should I take to solve my problems?

The Vaastu dosh has been created in the house because Vaastu principles have not been followed correctly during the construction stage of the home. Negative energy generates due to the Vaastu dosh of the house, because of which different types of problems are faced. Installing yantras in the house to get rid of the problems or to get prosperity in life, without rectifying the Vaastu dosh as per Vaastu principles will not help. Analysing your house map with all the structural details is what is recommended before any advice can be given. To get rid of your financial problems a better alternative is to make the underground water sources in the eshan of the open area, by leaving a diagonal line.

Q: Since I entered this house some two years ago, there have been unnecessary disputes between family members and I am facing financial problems as well. I have a good knowledge of astrology and palmistry. I have the powers to foretell accurately. I constructed an underground water tank in eshan, some months ago after reading about this in your column and since then my financial position has improved. Kindly give the reasons and solutions to my problems.

Your question is confusing. You say you have a good knowledge of astrology and palmistry and yet you do not have a solution to your problems. It is clear that astrology and palmistry are not result-oriented. You say that whatever you foretell comes true, so why then has this principle ot affected you? This kind of talk is not related with reality. Think practically, what are the importance and usefulness of astrology-palmistry-Vaastu? And what benefits do you get from each subject. When it comes to solutions for your problems, as per my experience, I can tell that no other subject can give you a permanent solution other than Vaastu. You have experienced this yourself, when you constructed an underground water tank in eshan, after which your financial state improved.

Vaastu dosh is the reason for your problems: The gas stove in the north eshan of the kitchen, the master bedroom in agney’s room, the attached toilet/bathroom in the north eshan of your bedroom, the doors in the west neirut of the house and boundary wall, the north vayavya of the vayavya room, the east agney of the hall and the vayavya room etc. To rectify this Vaastu dosh, the following changes are required:

  • Shift the kitchen from the north west room to the south east room and place the gas stove in the agney corner in such a way that the cook faces the eastern direction while cooking.
  • Demolish the toilet/bathroom in the north eshan of the southeast room.
  • Shift the door from the west neirut to the west vayavya of the boundary wall.
  • Shift the door of the west neirut of the southwest room, the north vayavya of the vayavya room and the east agney of the hall and the vayavya room to the west vayavya and the east eshan of the vayavya room and the north eshan and the east of the hall, respectively.
  • Utilise the hall as a drawing room, the northwest room as the children’s room and the southwest room as a master bedroom, and construct a new toilet/bathroom in the southwest portion of the southwest room by increasing the floor level.

The above changes will fulfill your dreams of a happy and prosperous life in this house.

Q: Apart from financial, what other problems can Vaastu help in solving?

Vaastu helps not only in financial problems but also in other areas where one has problems such as anything to do with social status, education, domestic quarrels, court cases, interruption in lineage, delay in marriage or birth of children, matrimonial relations, chronic diseases to name a few.

Q: This house was constructed by following the principles of Vaastu, under the guidance of a Vaastu Pandit. I am unable to understand why, after we moved into his house, we are facing problems like financial losses, domestic quarrels, arguments between my son and his wife. We have even performed a puja. Now the Vaastu Pandit tells me that a house facing south is never auspicious. Please tell me what is the importance of the utilisation of Vaastu and how can I be relieved of my problems.

You are unnecessarily blaming Vaastu. The mistakes of Vaastu, carried out by your Vaastu pandit while constructing the house is the reason you have these problems. To hide his limited knowledge about Vaastu, your Vaastu Pandit is confusing you saying that south facing houses aren’t auspicious. This is absolutely wrong. Because a south facing house is also auspicious - equal in fact to houses that face in other directions - if the principles of Vaastu have been correctly followed at the time of construction. In your property, the underground water tank is constructed away from the boundary wall instead of near and on the diagonal line in eshan, hence Vaastu dosh will have a bad affect equal to the Vaastu dosh of the cutoff of eshan.

  • The construction of a septic tank to the north of an open area as well as the situation of the toilet, which is to the north of the house, invites problems and as this septic tank and toilet is coming in the eshan of your son’s bedroom, it could seriously affect his married life.
  • The negative energy inflow into the house will give only inauspicious results, because the doors are fixed to the south of the boundary wall and to the east agney of the hall and vayavya room, instead of to the south agney in each case.
  • The north eshan is the cutoff of the master bedroom. Due to the attached toilet/bathroom in the north vayavya of this room, the staircase to the west of the house comes into the north of the master bedroom and excess open area have been left in the south as compared to the north. All these are against the principles of Vaastu.
  • Fill up (with mud) the underground water tank constructed in the wrong place in eshan and construct a new one in the eshan, near the boundary wall by leaving diagonal line.
  • Fill with mud the septic tank in the north of the open area and construct a new one in the north vayavya, in such a way that it is up to the portion of the north vayavya of the north west room.
  • Shift the doors from the east agney of the hall and vayavya room, to the south agney of the hall and vayavya room, and fix new doors to the south agney of the boundary wall and the east eshan of the hall.
  • You will get immediate relief from your problems after carrying out the above changes.

Q: I am having financial problems that are affecting my mental and physical health. After I moved into this house I have also wanted to end my life. I would like to know the reasons for my problems and get the help of Vaastu to solve my difficulties.

Ending your life is really not part of the solution. It is a symbol of timidity. Forget about ending your life and start to learn the art of living happily. Vaastu guarantees that your problematic life will become happy and prosperous at the earliest.

  • The cut-off of the north and the north eshan direction, due to the extended portion of the north vayavya of the flat is the main reason behind your wretched life that is like a living hell.
  • The toilet in the north eshan of the flat affects your financial position adversely. It also impacts the life of the housewife.
  • Other flats in the north and the open area to the south of the flat, as well as heavy items kept in the northern direction of the south and neirut room, due to which the inflow of magnetic power in the flat is interrupted. This also affects you mentally, physically and financially.
  • Your problems are increasing due to the cutoff of the east eshan of the master bedroom, as the attached toilet/bathroom is in the east agney of this bedroom.
  • Children’s development will be obstructed because their bedroom is in the south.
  • The inflow of negative energy has increased because the doors are located in inauspicious places in the flat and rooms.
  • The hurdles in the marriage and other auspicious moments are due to the cutoff of the eshan, the entrance door in the north vayavya and the open space in the neirut due to the balcony in the flat. Complete changes as per vaastu are not possible because the flat is on the upper floor, however, the following changes will give you some relief from your problems…
  • Remove the main entrance door of the north vayavya and leave this portion open, and construct a new wall in the north vayavya portion of the flat, equal to the northern wall of the hall and fix the door, as indicated in the map.
  • Shift the door from the west vayavya to the north of the attached toilet/bathroom in the east agney of the master bedroom.
  • Demolish the toilet/bathroom in the north eshan of the flat and construct a new toilet/bathroom in the south west part of the balcony in the neirut, by increasing the floor level.
  • Keep open spaces in the north east and heavy items in the south west of every room.
  • Shift the door from the west neirut of the eshan room and from the east of the south west room to the west vayavya of the eshan room and the east eshan of the south west room.
  • Fix a new window in the east eshan and the north eshan of the eshan room and the north eshan of the hall.
  • Make the southern room a bedroom for your married son and the eshan room for the children.

The above possible cited changes will give you immediate relief from your problems. If you are unable to make the changes, then there is no other alternative but to get a permanent solution to your problems. And in order to do this you have to vacate this flat and shift into another house, which should be as per Vaastu norms. So do weigh the pros and cons.
